Pair the air system with the hopper

The RHD honeycomb rotor dehumidifier provides dehumidified air for a resin-drying arrangement. RHONG materials describe its combination with RDM drying hoppers for hygroscopic engineering plastics. The dehumidifier and hopper have separate roles: the air system removes moisture from the circulating air, while material is held in the drying hopper. The rotating honeycomb passes through process-air, regeneration and cooling zones as the air system operates.

Follow the resin drying instruction

Provide the resin grade and its supplier's required drying temperature, time and air conditions. Add the hourly consumption and the proposed hopper arrangement. A low dew-point claim alone does not establish the residual moisture in the resin. The selected air system and the material's time in the hopper must relate to the production demand.

Show the air and cooling connections

Draw the process-air and return-air route between dehumidifier and hopper. Identify the cooling-water provision required by the proposed configuration and the location of filters and air connections. Ask which temperature controls, dew-point measurement and conveying components are included or optional.

Make cleaning part of the arrangement

Leave access for filter inspection and explain how materials or colors change in production. A standalone RHD should be quoted with its compatible hopper and connection scope. The RDC combined dryer is a separate arrangement that also incorporates material conveying.
