Oil-type mold temperature controller

Use the specified heat-transfer medium

The oil-type RTC circulates heat-transfer oil through the connected mold circuit. Heating and circulation form part of the temperature-control task. Provide the process temperature required by the mold and identify the intended oil. Fluid compatibility needs to include the mold, hoses, seals and all equipment connected to the circuit.

Describe the mold connections

Send the connection sizes, hose route and the layout of the mold channels. Record whether the existing circuit has restrictions or contamination that need attention. The required flow and circuit resistance help define the pump selection; a pump's maximum flow and maximum pressure are separate operating limits.

Review heat and cooling together

State the starting condition, desired operating temperature and how the process adds heat during production. Identify the cooling-water supply available to the controller and the required control sequence. Heater rating alone does not describe the cooling task or how quickly a particular mold reaches its working condition.

Specify the operating arrangement

Include the electrical supply, controller location and access for oil handling and service. Ask for the selected medium, cooling arrangement and supplied connections on the quotation. The water-type controller has a separate medium and model scope, which must be checked against the mold requirements.
