Access to the cutting chamber

The RG-26G and RG-36G ranges process plastic rejects and offcuts collected from molding or extrusion operations. Their published design has a cutting chamber that opens at its middle, with the bearings outside the chamber. This layout gives access to the cutting area when changing blades or cleaning between material batches.

Maintenance access affects the installation as much as the feed opening does. Leave room around the opened hopper and for removal of the screen and collection equipment. A floor plan should show the operator's approach and the route used to move scrap into the machine.

Choose the feed and collection arrangement

Describe whether the waste arrives loose, in containers or on a conveyor. The catalogue includes different cutting configurations and an optional suction conveying and cyclone arrangement. Select these around the incoming shape and the next process. A discharge box and pneumatic collection create different handling routines.

G-series structural details should be reviewed separately from the RG-E range. The GJ name in the source catalogue denotes an electrical control configuration; it does not establish a power saving percentage for your material.

Prepare the comparison

Send the polymer, representative pieces, maximum dimensions, wall thickness and intended regrind use. For abrasive filled material, include the filler type and proportion so blade material and wear parts can be discussed before selecting the machine.
