Applications

  • Bulky molded plastic parts
  • Large containers and production rejects
  • Heavy plastic offcuts

Measure the whole part

The RG-66S catalogue describes a large granulator for plastic pipes, containers, sheet scrap and bulky molded parts. The machine has a split body for access to blades and screens, with the bearings outside the cutting chamber. The published design uses rotating and fixed knives to reduce the incoming material.

A large container can be awkward to feed even when its wall is thin. Give its overall length, width and height, then show the opening and any ribs or reinforced sections. For production rejects, include photographs of the normal range of shapes.

Fit the handling route around the machine

Plan how the operator or conveyor presents the scrap to the hopper. The area needed to move a part into position can be greater than the machine footprint. Screen removal, blade servicing and output collection also need a clear route.

Catalogue conveying and cyclone options can be reviewed alongside the granulator. State whether the cut material is collected in a container or delivered to another process. If a first shredding stage is proposed, compare the output of the single-shaft shredder with the granulator's feed requirement.

Define the result before sizing

Supply the polymer, wall thickness, incoming condition, hourly demand and intended regrind use. Review these against the proposed rotor and screen. The RG-66S designation identifies this catalogue range; the number in the name is not a throughput specification.
